Smile South Park: The Stick of Truth Thread

Figure there isn't any real thread dedicated to this yet so... here's one.

I finished it a few hours ago and I have to say that I enjoyed it. It's basically like one long South Park episode.

Played it for around 13-hours, did all the side-quests and got a couple of chuckles out of it. Well, chuckles and a couple of "uuurgh! euuuw! gross!" moments too

Honestly, if Obsidian didn't develop it then I doubt I would even have bothered getting it. I'm really quite happy with how it turned out and the length feels just right (I think any longer and I would've started to get bored with it--a lot of the humour can only be dragged out so long).

Anyone else playing/finished it yet? What are your thoughts?

Just finished it. It was awesome. I am a long time fan and I loved all the little things. I killed myself laughing when I saw the pinewood derby car and the space cash. I also enjoyed the combat. It never felt too boring. Loved looking for all the chipokomon. I finished the main quest first for the story. Going to continue now with the sidequests.

It was everything I hoped it would. Will definitely go back and play through all the classes.

I've done around 9 - 10 hours so far and i love it. Decided to make my character a Jew to see what the special abilities where So far i've done some side quests but not all of them yet.

Working my way through the main story line first. Also noticed that if you set the difficulty level to "hardcore" or whatever it's called, its still not that difficult

Can you believe how much they crammed into such a small area. The Shrinking adds a whole new element to the game. Now I am like wooow I must have missed a lot of places where I can go as a smaller me..

Playing it at the moment and thoroughly enjoying every second of it. I've watched every single episode of South Park and I'm so happy they add in all the little references to earlier episodes etc. I'm sure I will play through again with a different class once I finish it. Matt & Trey writing/voicing and Obsidian developing turned out one hell of a product.

On day 3 now of my first playthrough and am thoroughly enjoying it. Whoever came up with the brilliant idea of making South Park an RPG should be commended. Everything is done so well!

haha... Yeah, I like a lot of the ideas they had behind how to make the classes (and the "magic" ) work.

What classes are you guys playing as?

I played as a Mage and loved the "spells" -- very well-thought-out.

Kind of tempted to give playing as a Jew a try but not sure if I'd be as invested playing a second time around.

I'm a mage too and agree, the way the spells are done are very good. So sad I'll probably only get to play again the weekend. Curse you busy week life :'(
