    Default QoS for Diablo 3

I'm trying to figure out how to set up QoS on my router so that Diablo 3 gets the highest priority, but I have no idea what I'm doing, and my router is not user friendly at all.

This is what the QoS screen looks like for me.

When I click on "add" I get this:

The options in the drop downs are:

Bandwidth: Download or Upload; Guarantee or Max
Traffic Type: None, SMTP, HTTP, POP3 or FTP
    Protocol: TCP or UDP

I've tried to play around with it a bit, but nothing I've tried had any effect.

I have three other people using (abusing) my network and it's impossible to figure out who is doing what, so if I can get this working I think if will be great. I really hope someone can help me, I'm getting kind of desperate.

To be honest I wouldn't bother. (Non-Enterprise) Router firmware just can't do QoS properly, so it tends to either work poorly or not at all.

If you still want to try then check out this link.

I can possibly be of some assistance. Firstly the local IP address should be your computers IP address, so make sure you have a static address configured or have a DHCP reservation setup on your router for you computer. The link below you can find the ports used by Diablo 3.

https://us.battle.net/support/en/art...-configuration (same link as Monk )

I would create a upload and download rule, but you will probably need the IP ranges for the D3 and Battle.net servers (cant find it anywhere atm), might just be easier for you to setup a rule that prioritise any traffic coming from your PC, what router is this?

    EDIT: Battle.net IPs: https://us.battle.net/support/en/art...g-a-traceroute

Here is the Product manual, check page 77 maybe it helps a bit: http://www1.canyon-tech.com/files/Ca..._Manual_EN.pdf

local ips would be your computer, remote would be battle.net ips so you want to setup rules which prioritise traffic from your computers ip to the remote ip (battle.net) on the specified ports in the links provided.

Does this really make a significant improvement in gameplay?

Nothing I tried made any difference. I've found the only way I can actually play properly is when I kick everyone else off the network.
