I really tried to look at the videos last night but honestly I couldn't see what the problem is. Maybe if I download the 1080p version with keepvid and watch it frame per frame it will be better, but comparing two different scenes under vastly different circumstances is just bloody stupid. We also don't have any confirmation that it's even on the same platform.
When an anti-piracy method is affecting the game for people who legitimately bought it and causing other people not to buy the game, there is obviously something wrong with it!

Just look at his coat/jacket...That will show you how different it is.
If you then can't see any difference I suggest you visit Spec Savers..

Cloth simulation has always been a pet peeve of mine I just dont know why Ubisoft insist on having main characters in there games wearing big ass coats and hoods when they can not do it properly. The best cloth simulation I have seen is in Order1886.

Ubisoft says that current videos of the game have used footage from console versions, while the original look at Watch Dogs at E3 2012 was pulled from PC.
    BOOM, argument defused.

Sorry, I'm going to disagree here and add my 20 million Zim dollars because I feel strongly about this topic.

First off: lol @ the comparison of a video game to an actual, flesh and blood person. That was very entertaining, but I fear for your mental health.

Let's compare the game and what has happened to something a bit more relevant to one another:

Ferrari advertises a brand new car. It costs R10 million. This car is the fastest from 0-100km/h, it makes everything else look pedestrian. On top of that, Ferrari are claiming that this car is, and will be for the next 100 years, the best looking car ever sculpted by a human mind. Everyone agrees and there is much celebration. You decide to take R10 million of your hard earned cash, and pre-order this car. After all, this is THE car to have and other auto manufacturers are literally closing their doors at the mere news of this new car.

Unfortunately, the wait for your new pride and joy is about 2 years. But that's okay; Ferrari are giving you little tid-bits and show you some person blasting around a track in this amazing new car which you can expect in your driveway "soon". The wait is unbearable.

2 years later, your car is ready for collection. It's the most exciting day of your life. You rush through to the dealership, ready to be the envy of everyone with a penis and you look forward to driving home in a car that's so gorgeous, it might be considered as a roofie to women.

You arrive at the dealership and there's a crowd gathered in the main showroom floor. People are humming and drumming around this "object" that is covered in a drape in the middle of the floor. You know that's your car. People are waiting for you to come and accept delivery of the best and most beautiful car on the planet.

The moment is at hand. After popping champagne, the dealer principle lifts the drapes off of your new car! Everyone gasps. People are stunned.

IT LOOKS LIKE A HYUNDAI ATOS!

You're looking around for the cameras. You are looking for Leon Schulster to jump out any minute to claim his corny gag again. After all, how the hell does someone expect you to be happy with this thing when it looks nothing like the car that was shown to you for the last 2 years. But the look of shock on your face turns to pure depression as you realize, this is not a joke. This is your new car. You feel like crying and killing someone at the same time, and you'd like them to cry too whilst you do it.

The salesman walks over to you, he sees that you're in shock and disbelief. He grabs your hand and shakes it, almost sarcastically. He knows why you're upset. He knows this isn't the same car they used to steal your money with. As he grabs your hand he mutters smugly to you: "They had to make a few design changes here and there. The car they showed everyone 2 years ago wasn't the actual end-product, but I think you'll agree it looks "pretty close". Also remember that this car still does 0-100 in less than 10 seconds - which is not slow, compared to a barge. It's not quite at the "spec" that they wanted it - but we at Ferrari are very happy with this car, and thanks again for your R10 million".

He goes rambling on about the fact that the car still has 4 wheels. It will still manage to keep you dry when driving in the rain. It has a steering wheel and some brakes too. He tries to convince you that beauty and performance is not "everything" and that what "really" matters is the badge on the front. No matter how ugly or slow the car may be. No matter how many other, much better cars there are for a fraction of the cost. He tells you that you need to someone "get over" the fact that the car sold to you is not the same car that was shown to you 2 years ago.

At this point the salesman is fearing for his life. He sees that you're trembling with rage. Before things get worse, he turns around and runs to the bathroom and closes the door behind him. "Big Mistake" you think to yourself. We all know what happens next. You take off your prosthetic legs and hobble over to the bathroom door. That salesman won't con someone like that again!

p.s If you want to compare this situation with "meeting a girl", then it goes down like this: You meet a girl online. She sends you photos and you fall instantly in love with this angel from heaven. Months of telephone calls and e-mails later you decide to meet. You finally meet her. She's a shemale, and her penis is larger than yours. Enjoy.

What does the above story tell us? Sure, there are some people who don't care about the fact that what was shown is not the final product. That makes you a freak. It doesn't make you right.
