Bud, im 27 and started learning Guitar about 6 months ago... Do yourself a favor and start ASAP. My only regret is that i started so late... My advice would be get yourself into some lessons, get to know the instrument WELL before attempting to teach yourself. It will just make the learning that much easier and quicker.

I always thought about playing guitar, but like you I lacked the drive to actually do it. The easiest way to motivate you is...

You will get chicks falling all over you...

And im not even remotely joking... This is not why I started learning, But if i knew what i know now... Dude... sitting on a beach with a bonfire and a guitar... your golden...

A motivation to learn.. Is to keep occupied, with something productive, and apparently it helps people a lot with their lives, from what I've been told.

    No. Just no.

Hate that guy. Doing it for attention from women only.

Learning your instrument to convey your emotions and to connect and relate to people on a subliminal level.

I'm not very much of a beachy person, I prefer sitting quietly at home listening to music, or being in a dark room gaming, outside world terrifies me :P

Haha, and my girlfriend plays guitar too so..

Regardless of the type of music you enjoy, player your guitar at a bonfire for a woman's attention is cheap.
