LifeMod - ZA Arma 3 Server

Hi their guys if any of you are fans of Arma 3 or Roleplaying game then i have just the ticket for you, me and a couple of guys are working on a new mod called LifeMod based on the TakistanLife RPG for Arma 2 i my self have been working on it for the past weeks now and have released the newest version 1.7.0 this is not a full mod with a download as of yet we are just running server files until we feel we have enough content to add to make it as mod as this is one of the only ZA/SA servers of the Roleplay community its defiantly something to look at, we currently have a youtuber and 3 streamers that are apart of the Lads twitch group so please give you love to them as well. all ips and streamers will be below.

We are looking for Developers for the mod and server please contact me or a admin on the website for more information.​

I would prefer not to go on this server.. he took all my work i've done after offering my dedicated server, this morning i woke up with all my server files deleted after he gotten a new ZA host himself.. he is from the UK and was using my server for his own benefits.

I've spent alot of time on this Altis Life server and getting the community together on the end some UK person just buddied up with another SA person and got rid of me after everything i've done getting this Altis Life project going.

I am furious since i've done so much getting this going and on the end someone stole what i've done and ran away with it.

Trying to communicate with this person and this is his words to me..

He refrains from files thats still on my server as "stealing" he left it on my server but i am now stealing by using something on my own server..

He also sold the LifeMod script to someone for $250 no one was happy about when we first started to cash in on some money, he promised the guys updates on this which on the end after the person paid him he told him to get lost and he won't receive any updates.

I would be really carefull if you donate to his efforts or even be part of what he took over from me and booted me after i have gained the playerbase, but thats everyone's own choice on the end, i just would like to raise my version here as whats been told on the forums has been deleted the whole time as they can't face my version from what happend.

This morning i basicly woke up before going to work where the ZA server was down.. which i logged into my server to check and then everything was deleted with a readme.txt on the desktop basicly telling me.. F YOU, not even a thank you but a F YOU.

Well i wont be adding any funds what so ever towards this. I have dealt with Shirou a lot in the past and what i have heard from him about this just isnt good business.

Yea wont be playing on his server, Shirou has worked hard setting up his different gaming servers for South Africans, and I have seen how much he put into the Lifemod server, not cool for this guy to just take his work and boot him out.

Oh hahaha i just saw he has been banned. Oh lol Shirou will love to see that.

I'll get all the guys I know to avoid his server and mod.

My intention here is not to flame anyone, but merely to tell our side of the story.

Hi there guys,
As some of you may have seen on the Shoutbox, there has been some drama unfolding on LifeMod.

Shirou aka Kronik/Cronic has been fundamental in getting LifeMod going in South Africa, and for that we are thankfull.

The initial agreement with Kford was that he would not have to pay for the use of the server box, and would only have to work on the development and bug fixes.
Shirou then started demanding money from KFord for using the server box. Kford then explained to Shirou that the donations were meant to go towards development.
KFord does not always have the time or experience to implement all the stunning features we want, and has therefore might have to outsource the development of certain modules.
The reason the donations are used for this, is because we do not want to ask people to start paying for the server. In fact we would never ask the community to pay for anything, and would rely solely on donations.
Shirou was not interested in this approach and decided to remove KFord's access to the server box.
Being locked out of the server box, KFord was unable to upload new files, bug fixes and updates and or new features. As you all can see, this was detrimental to the community. Something had to be done.
The decision was made to switch over to another server. I am fortunate to have been able to supply a server. One we don't EVER have to pay for. The box is connected to the IS backbone and has higher specs than the original server we were using.
I have talked to Shirou and told him he does not have to leave and is still welcome to play his part on the APD.
He refused and is now wanting to start his own server, stealing the mission file and older database from KFord.
Furthermore he will be trying to split the community by stealing from our player base.
He will have no Development support and access to our database. His mission file will not be updated as bug fixes are implemented and new features added.

On a more positive note, we have decided to form a council.
The council will consist of the various leaders of the gangs / groups.
The purpose of the council is to give players a voice and be involved with the running of the server.
Council meetings will be held. RP style at a predefined location and time.
There players can represent their groups / clans and discuss the future of LifeMod. Features we would like, as well as reviewing the current state of affairs. Rules and regulations will also be discussed.
One small step for man, one giant leap for LifeMod.
Moving into a democracy, i see a bright future ahead for us all.
With the formation of the council our Developer, KFord, can concentrate on developing and not be tied down with every day running of the server.

I have an open door guys and just give me a shout if you would like to discuss matters in TS.

On behalf of everyone involved with LifeMod, we thank you for your support and look forward to endless fun nights of running drugs, taking hostages and Arresting criminals.

Also i have to add that Shirou started up his Arma Server by stealing someone else's mission file and claiming it as his own, he admitted this to me personally on TS.

Shirou fails to mention that the reason his posts were deleted is because he posted the same thread in about 50 diff places, after being asked to resolve the issue with us in private.

He also does not seem to understand that the mission file was sold to a German clan, AS IS, with no support. They would only receive the MOD when it was complete. They joined our server hacking in weapons and killing everyone in sight. That is the reason they were banned from the game server. The germans were contacted on TS and after all reasoning failed and verbal abuse streamed from the Germans, they were banned from TS as well. They allso attempted to DDOS the TS server on numerous occasions.

The files were not left on the server. Shirou made backups and set permisions so that they could not be deleted. Now explain to me how someone else's intellectual property gets backed up, locked down, and then claimed it is ok to use because they exist on the server?

As i have mentioned and spoke with Roomys personally, i have demanded no one any money, if you could provide me any proof where i have demanded money that would be very helpfull towards your accuse for me demanding money.

Here is the story behind it all i've mentioned to some already.

I started playing Arma 3 and only for the reason for Altis Life then i met someone on one of the international servers called Madmouse we have then spoke long hours regarding making our own Altis Life server, we have spent day/nights over weekends getting this sorted, personally myself have had sleepless nights getting it sorted and i am sure most can vouch for that.

I then started advertising the Altis Life server we got about 15 - 20 player peaks that time, this has been a month ago where it was still falling under Gamers Haven, people then started making suggestions adding new features to the server which myself and madmouse had about 10% knowledge about the Arma 3 script that time.

I then started looking around for developers, posted everywhere for someone to assist even went on other servers if they might wanna host a SA server for us here for Altis Life, you don't even know how much i've put into this on the end, i've then met KFord where we spoke and made a agreement that if he can help us develop i'll do the hosting for the server.

So on the end we have merged with him, we used his server name which was called Lifemod and his forums and we used my dedicated server by hosting the ZA server on and the database, i've spent alot of time to get all the players merged with our database and then getting the BEC client sorted on the server where he "tried" to help but on the end it was done by me.

So the server went on without problems and i went and advertised more and so we grew larger day by day.. people started donating and people was suprised no donations was going towards me, so then i had a discussion with KFord if he is perhaps willing to pay like 30% towards the dedicated server which we agreed on $29 himself agreed without even complaining about it.

Few weeks went past without a cent being paid.. so i've tried talking with him over skype and get his attention he just never came back to me.. so this was probably the wrong idea.. but then i've locked his account from my dedicated server to force him to speak with me.. if this is "demanded" money from him then i don't know, all i want is for him to talk with me regarding the server.. immediately when he noticed he was locked out the server he threatens me with a reply like "WHY AM I LOCKED OUT THE SERVER"

I then asked him nicely when will he be able to pay for the server as it's already half way through the month he then told me "Thursday" i then told him thats ok, and unlocked his account, next morning the server was deleted all my worked i've put in day/nights and had a readme.txt left on the desktop to basicly telling me "FUCK YOU"

I've been also accused by him of treating him like "SH*T" apparently but thats only because he treated me like "SH*T" for hosting the server as he demanded me while i was working to help him with the server as he have no experience with dedicated servers at all, i had to setup most of the Arma 3 server, he only developed the script (Mission File) that was used.

Gr8-White is only defending him as he is now the new host which he offered him a "FREE" server which was comminicated in councel meetings behind my back, yesterday morning was the first word i've heard about it and it was shocking.

They had the plans weeks ready already by transfering the server to another host and only used my server while they get their plans sorted, so now they throw things in that i demanded money to make me look bad to protect their current community, but all this was already planned by them and only used me on the end.

Now that they have the new host which was give "FREE" by Gr8-White they kicked me from head admin and he is now the head admin as he is now the host of the server.. But i am the one who started it all and i was just kicked out like a dog on the street, with no words of a thank you for brining in a Altis Life server and all the work i've done.

And regarding the server files.. i no longer have it, i've deleted his files from my server, and only restored my own server i had he deleted with his mod, as he took my BEC and bat files i created and deleted it from my server.

Surely KFord don't tell you the whole story, this was before you came part of the admin team.. the reason they have done what they did was because KFord stole their money on the end and broke the agreement, they paid for the script and then updates which comes with it, KFord then decided not to give them updates anymore after they paid and they have all the reason for doing what they have done.

I really hope everyone can see both side of the stories here as this was posted on their forum as well but they kept deleting it.

i will however answer any questions asked by the community, as well as provide the chat logs where you told KFord to pay before he can have access again. He is based in the UK, so i just have to wait for him to come online again so he can forward the logs to me.

tbh Gr8-White i have no reason to lie.. so if you think i lie, let it be, but i've told my full story and no need to tell more.

On the end you guys got what you planned for.. so i am the one loosing my server, i am just telling what happend from all honesty.

So i really wish you guys goodluck with the server, i have no strength to keep this conversation going, everyone is free to read my long post i made and thats everything from the start, if you beleave it or not thats your choice, but i really don't have the strength to say anything else, i've lost my server after all the time i've spent into it and i am very sad about it, to think you still get people like this.. and then people in SA who backstab you.

I started it all and then as it grew bigger people wanted to get their "finger" in the pie and took it over and kick me off, and then use information thats not even nearly true to defend their community not to loose anyone and make me the bad one on the end.

This is not a Jury and we really dont need people defending themselves. If there are issues between two people or groups then you guys really need to handle it outside of this forum.

The OP has already been banned for link reasons and i see a few more happening if you guys continue on the track you are on (or the thread been either closed or deleted)

I don't think anyone actually cares what is said about Shirou (in a bad light) the oke has gone out of his way to help the gaming community here with servers to play on with ALL different types of games not just 1 or 2 always at his own cost...

I advise this stops now before unnecessary and time wasting action needs to be taken.

is there a problem with me telling my side of the story? being dragged through the mud on a well known community forum, false accusations being thrown around and lies being spread thick and fast... would you not defend yourself and your community?
I did not for one second attack your buddy, all i did was clear the air in the hope that the truth will at least see the light of day.

Truth on a forum will never see the light of day mate and that's exactly why posts like these are a complete and utter waste of time and tbh i don't think anyone but the people involved really cares. I was talking to both you and Shirou and spoken to him on Skype telling him not to waste his time here.

I am out of this now, need to get some graft done.

Ow the drama. It is almost always like this with SA ppl, specially because so many of them are power hungry people who think they are God's gift to the local community for running a server.

Gr8-White well what can I say... It's time you take a long hard look at yourself. I for one are not believing what you are trying to sell here.

Gaming should be about fun. When you running a server or doing such a project it should be for fun and with the community in mind, not elevate your e-peen status, which seems to be the case most of the time.

There is 1, maybe 2 people that can be trusted & respected locally where Arma 2 & 3 is concerned and none of you seems to be 1 of these 2.

I'll be staying away from this server and think any other Arma 3 player with common sense should too.

if you had read my post properly you would have noticed the area where i mentioned the formation of a council, made up of players, that will be running the server. deciding on policies etc. If i am not mistaken that is a first for South Africa, getting the players involved to such a degree. To be honest I am still holding thumbs and hoping it doesn't boomerang, lol.

You might be surprised at the amount of respected Arma 3 players currently playing on our server. and i must admit it saddens me to see you have so little respect for the local Arma comunity. only one or two? did you maybe have some bad experiences?
You truly are missing a great gaming experience if you havent got down and dirty Arma Style, have a look at the guys over at Zulu Alpha. Now those boys mean business...but i must add....its not for everyone. Some prefer less rigid and militaristic approaches. But to each his own i guess.
Just one more thing, I kinda think its unfair of you forming your opinion of someone based on flame posts?

I don't want to take sides here, because honestly, this is merely a case of 'he said, she said.' We will never know who is really right and who isn't.

However, I will say that in my experience Shirou is someone who is always on the lookout for the gaming community and has often run servers for obscure games out of his own good will and out of his own pocket. He does not strike me as the kind of person who is power hungry and just trying to do this to for his own benefit. When Cube World came out he was the first (and only) to host a server for us and the same with Starbound. And he spent a lot of time optimizing the servers for both those games. In my opinion, he has only ever acted in the best interests of the gaming community.

I will also say that someone whose idea of resolving a dispute is to go onto a server, deletes all the files and then leave a note basically saying 'fuck you' does not strike me as someone who is acting in the best interests of the community. In fact, that kind of behavior actually strikes me as very childish. What should have been done is to try and resolve the dispute amicably before resorting to drastic measures and from both GR8-white and Shirou's posts it does not sound like this is what either KFord or his LifeMod team tried to do. Therefore I will not be playing on this LifeMod server.

As I said, not taking sides. Maybe Shirou is right, maybe KFord/Gr8-white is right. There's no way to know for sure. The only thing that I am certain about is that KFord handled this incredibly poorly and I will not feel comfortable playing on his server.

How big is the ZA following for this? Seems a bit of a waste, I'd rather play Zeus really.

we did try and resolve the issue with as little impact on the community as possible. aaaand its public!

If i may explain the Arma Setup quick.
The mods created by the guys, are very often stolen by other people. The community we joined is in fact an existing community. The files that were on the server, were KFord's developed files. He put them there. Brought them over from the UK and German servers. So it was never Shirou's property. He basically provided a local box for LifeMod to be hosted on.
The guy has put a lot work in developing the mod and making sure it works as well as possible. Of course he wants to protect his intellectual property and take it with him when he goes? The LifeMod is his brainchild and is not freely available to the public i might add.
leaving the note as goodbye present....yes i agree that was not in good taste. He is young though, and was very upset with the way he was being treated as the developer and owner of LifeMod.

I for one, am not happy with the way things turned out and would have liked it to have had a different outcome. Unfortunately people sometimes force your hand.

Thanks all for the positive feedback towards me, but i would really like this to end and hope the thread can get locked, i really don't have the strength for this and would just like it to be rested.

All i would say lastly is that most people know me offering and hosting servers and try and get gaming servers out there which are not, Arma 3 Altis Life was one of them and it gotten a success untill it was taken from me without any discussions of talks about it with me it was overnight decided and deleted from my server to have it removed from my possetion which Gr8-White is now defending with all he got as he now "host" the server, so he will do everything to protect it at this stage.

My plan is to allways please the south african community with gaming servers which are not hosted in south africa and then on the end this is the thank you i get after it gained some success.

The only discussion that was made with me was the following morning after everything was deleted and i have been removed from "Head Admin" as i no longer host the server and "Head Admin" was given to Gr8-White as he was the one hosting the server now.

Gr8-White asked me to stay and i would still have my ranks in the police on the altis life server.. Still just like that i was revoked my own admin rights and i had no controll over it as the server is no longer hosted on my server.

I took that as a slap in the face and just told them i will no longer be part of this community, because how things was decided and delt with is not my way of proffesionaly going forward with such a community.

Sorry but until you jumped on the train and made a post your name was not mentioned here. I'd say you dragging your own name through the mud and then try to defend it at the same time. Kinda weird.

I'm not really fond of grapes. I'd say I'm realistic and all that this thread really does is make me sad. People, specially local people seems to do things for the wrong reason and then it always at some point bursts into something we have seen right here in this thread. I think that speaks for itself.

Can't you just sort these crap out in private...? What do they say any publicity is good publicity? I hope not
