I am creating this group out of desperation and the hope that Telkom SA might Read it and do some action. Last year I tried to telephone from Telkom only to be told that our complex does not have lines. I asked them how do we go about the process of getting lines. I was told at the Telkom Retail store in Pinetown and Pavillion that they don’t after doing a bit digging around I established that I need to get hold of someone at Telkom planning office which if I might add I cannot find a number for. Anyway eventually after many follow up at the Telkom Store I got to speak to planning guy. After a lot of asking I still don’t have a plan from Telkom for our complex as I am on the Body Corporate and I would like to put the pipes down so that us as residents can have access to Telkom services. Furthermore from my house to Telkom pole is less 20 metres. Telkom reason for not giving me a phone is if they give it to me then everyone in the complex is going to want it. I offered to lay my own cables to the Telkom pole and still they say no.
The purpose of this Group is the hope that I and all the other people who want phones in my complex will get phones. Please join our FACEBOOK group and give us your stories.
