----------WARNING----------
WebAfrica's customer portal has been updated from something extremely useful and easy to navigate - to something that should be dragged out into the street and shot in the head in front of its family and friends.
The Line Speed Manager (which was one of the nicest tools made available by WA to their subscribers) does not currently work "as advertised" anymore.
The tool "looks" as if it's working as per normal, but, it only allows you to select a slower speed than what you're currently on. If you, by accident, select a very slow speed (such as 1Mb/s) and want to select a higher speed or return to your previous speed, it WILL NOT work. Again, it will "look" like it's working, but it doesn't even bother resetting your line and will come back with some false error that it couldn't sync your line at the new speed due to quality issues on the line. In the meantime, it didn't even bother to set the new speed in the first place.
That, together with some grammar and spelling issues on their new "improved" interface leads me to believe that they've lost their edge and simply couldn't give a crap about quality anymore.
Personally, well, I'm looking at some offerings from AfriHost.
