The best interaction I had online was a few years ago when Left 4 Dead came out. I found a good friend in that game who eventually became a great friend IRL. Alas as time has gone on trying to find positive interactions online has declined and I think this video does a great job at explaining why:

Trying to play games with friends is both great and a nightmare at the same time, especially if your game of choice is a toxic MOBA like Dota 2. I've alienated at least one of my friends because of arguments had while playing it.
