I would say a positive aspect would be a great increase in my knowledge of various things which I choose to learn about.
There are a lot of negatives though.
Yeah, I'm a +1 on both of those points. Especially work related the interwebs has become a abundant plethora of knowledge. No longer does one really need a degree in IT to get a job and keep it when you have the internets.
As a research tool, the internet is invaluable but splitting the nonsense from the knowledge is a difficult task. I use the internet mostly for entertainment purposes: playing Trackmania, watching Hulu or YouTube cats, donwloading games from Steam etc.
