The ANC chief whip's office at Parliament on Tuesday apologised for putting the wrong date in a statement dealing with the establishment of an ad hoc committee to consider President Jacob Zuma's response to the Public Protector's report on Nkandla.

The statement, issued on Monday, had noted that in terms of National Assembly rules, parties had 10 working days in which to recommend to Speaker Max Sisulu the names of members who would serve on the committee.
