HAHAHAHA A PS4 THAT HE DOES NOT GET TO USE AS IM THE ONLY ONE PLAYING ON IT.... ALTHOUGH WE DI GET AN EXTRA REMOTE NOW SO WE WILL BE PLAYING TOGETHER NOW.
Ja the 2nd ring is just a "band" but i still dont see the point honestly in having 2 rings... its a money making scheme in my opinion

I only bought my wife one ring, but it was what she wanted. A custom designed platinum ring with a moerse diamond in the center. Trust me on this, it was expensive. The general rule of thumb for a wedding ring is 3 times your monthly salary.
My ignore list: growing too fast to keep updating.

@Eugene - I really need to stop repping you, purely for moments like this

    That's an eye opener.

It is madness, which is why I shall put my foot down when it is my turn, I refuse to have that much money wasted on an accessory

While I do agree its excessive, I do feel like its best to spend a decent amount on a Ring, but nothing more than whats affordable... I bought a Ring from Browns Jeweler, and they guarantee they will buy back your ring for life... That was a pretty big selling point for me because it shows they have a huge amount of faith in their product... And if at some stage later on in life the Mrs wants to "upgrade" the option is there...

Before or after tax? What about other deductions?
    If after it's like... R300!
One day, I'll grow up and become responsible.
    Probably not today.

Like I said I am one of the few who thinks its wasteful to spend money on a flashy rock with shiny stones in it. I am just to practical maybe, plus I have never really seen an engagement/wedding ring that I will just have to have. I also have definite ideas about a wedding - I dont intend to spend R100 000 - R500 000 on a wedding day either.

3 times monthly salary was something that De Beers put in an advert, to sell more diamonds.... and until today we all still do it. (Well, I didn't except if you take 3 x what's left after everything was paid )
