The ANC distanced itself on Thursday from statements made by the chairman of its Chatsworth, Durban, branch, Visvin Reddy.

"We view cde Reddy's utterances as totally uncalled for and not reflecting the principles of democracy," the party's KwaZulu-Natal secretary Sihle Zikalala said in a statement.

According to The Daily News, Reddy posted on social media site Facebook that Indians who complain about the ANC government should go back to India.
