Bloodborne: the official thread

I've posted about this in the original Demon's Souls thread and it has been mentioned in the Dark Souls 2 thread, but I think it deserves it's own thread so we can post any new info and discuss it in one place.

It seems From and Sony are working on something for the PS4 currently called Project Beast (working title). It sure looks like Demon's Souls 2 to me. :D

It sure looks like he's holding a shotgun in the second picture. At first this bothered me, but I think guns could actually work in a souls game if done right. Everything so far is pointing to this game being Demon's Souls 2 which I really, really hope is the case. It's still my favourite game in the Souls series and I would love a proper sequel for it.

Here's a little video ENB did about the new game:

As ENB mentions in the video Hidetaka Miyazaki (director/producer of Demon's Souls and the first Dark Souls) was not directly involved in Dark Souls 2 because he was working on another project and everything points to this game being that project.

Haha Metal Gear Solid V was gonna be my reason, but now I may have a second. :D

I can't wait to find out more about this title. Maybe E3?

I'm fsking hoping they announce it officially at E3. This is something I am SO looking forward to. Big Big news indeed!
But like ENB and Vaati say, they knew something was coming and that Miyazaki would head it up. So it's not complete speculation.

Dude! You lost interest in DS2?
Haven't seen or heard you jam in ages...

Yeah, pretty much. I did manage to finish it on PC, but I've traded in my PS3 version. Started playing Demon's Souls again, which is a much better game IMO. Not far into it only at the armoured spider now.

Man I still wanna get into Demon's Souls. Maybe after play through three of DS2 =P

Bloodborne is starting to feel like a smoother, more welcoming Dark Souls

There's a looseness, a fluidity of movement, that marks Bloodborne apart from Hidetaka Miyazaki's previous work with Demon's Souls and the Dark Souls games.

This ought not be taken as a sign of approval or disapproval. It's merely a note on Bloodborne's remit, to move a marker along a rail, away from those previous games' celebrated individuality and difficulty, and towards the outskirts of more recognizable third-person action RPGs, without quite becoming those things. read more
