Post The Last of Us: Remastered visuals almost don’t fit on a Blu-ray

I finished this game on my PS3 and absolutely loved it.

It will be even better the 2nd time round with 1080p visuals. CAN't WAIT!

Also have it on PS3 but definitely going to pick up the PS4 version too. Incredible game. It's a little concerning they're limited by disc space on a last-gen game. What about current-gen? What's the point of a stronger system if the developers are still limited by the disc space. Could the PS4 honestly not have rendered the cutscenes in-engine?

I read an article that they are working on a disc that is 250GB and 500GB.

Imagine what kind of games you will get if its 250GB?

Multi-disc until the larger discs become cost effective? Digital?

There's plenty of opportunity for bigger games, it'll just require a lot of uninstalling and re-downloading

I'd rather they not do digital until SA's internet becomes way better. I don't want to wait days to play my pre-ordered game because I need to downloaded 10gb+ day 1 updates.

Also the retail vs PSN store costs are mostly the same.

And people wonder why I insist that optical media is a dying form of distribution.
