Its not that anyone cares, its that they blatantly lie constantly, Both Sony and Ubisoft have been lying non stop about this game...to the point where I don't even want to buy it. I know some people on the forum will say "who cares" "Its still gonna be an awesome game" "Graphics aren't important" Bla bla bla, and all of them are full of shit and part of the problem within the gaming industry/culture.
Its ok to sell us something with these amazing graphics and when it turns out they won't be launching the game like that, don't dare complain because those hardcore fanbitches will tell you you are wrong and bla bla bla...

While I get your point about them showing us something awesome and then when the game comes it doesn't look like that, I hardly think it's fair or accurate to say everyone who doesn't care about that is full of shit and what's wrong with the gaming culture/industry. To be honest, I don't care and I'm definitely not a fanboy in this case. Sure, I'm looking forward to this game, but I'm still not sure if I am going to buy it on release.
At the end of the day, at least in my book, gameplay is far more important than graphics, even though I like a good looking game as much as the next gamer. You can also simply choose not to buy the game if you're not happy with how they chose to market their product, i.e. dishonestly.
I honestly don't give a shit what resolution a game is running at and what the framerate is. I've finished plenty of games while playing at a framerate of below 20 in my time. As long as I am having fun I can look past any technical issues.
The thing is that the companies themselves were tripping over themselves to tout their products as fully "1080p capable". People will always be pissed if you make promises and are unable to deliver upon them. So it's less "why isn't your game fully 1080", and more "why isn't your game all that you said it would be".
But that is the issue, they'll continue to do it because gamers accept it.
I have huge problem with people over promising and under delivering which is exactly what they are doing. Ubisoft, Sony, Microsoft and EA are all guilty of this. When I complained about it the last time people jumped on me and defended Ubisoft..I mean really? Are you fucking insane? lol Anyway I am getting it for free so will see.

I do understand your issue, but I guess that's gonna differ from person to person. I agree that what they are doing can be considered wrong/untruthful, but I honestly don't give a shit. They way I see it is to just enjoy the game and forget about all the politics concerning it. I mean, I'm definitely not going to miss out on any game that I'm interested in just because the developer/publisher was dishonest about the game mechanics, length, visuals, etc. If I'm interested enough in something then I'll buy it and decide for myself how it is. If it turns out that it's shit or I don't enjoy it, then that's just something I have to deal with. I'm not gonna attack anyone for deciding not to support a game because of something the developer/publisher did/said, but personally I try to ignore all that bullshit and just enjoy the game.
I actually think that anyone, in this day and age, who comes out saying graphics are not important is either a wannabe hipster or a retarded wannabe hipster. Quality graphics matter. That's why we've come a long way since pong.
My ignore list: growing too fast to keep updating.
Even with all the drama I'm still looking forward to playing this game in 2 weeks time. Hopefully it lives up to the gameplay hype even if the graphics aren't what we originally expected.
