BG2 still easily wipes the floor with most RPGs in many aspects. I play through it probably once a year, always find myself doing things in a different way and find a bunch of things I haven't yet done or missed.

That said, I don't consider BG1 a better game (though still excellent), but I tend to prefer playing through it, might just be nostalgia. I recently went through it again using BGTuTu, lets you play BG1 in the BG2 engine, combined with a widescreen mod. Felt like playing it again for the first time =)

Probably about time I give Planescape Torment another play through as well.

Man I hunger for old school RPG titles. Dragon Age is an excellent CRPG that temporarily filled that gaping void, but I need more! Hoping for a sequel or continuous stream of DLC.

With DAO having sold very well I am hoping we will see more old school style rpg's.

They have promised 2 years of dlc. Also a developer on the me 2 forums did let slip they were already working on the story writing for dao 2 .

I do hope more companies would produce old school style rpg's though.

I just want games to be in depth and challenging, regardless of the type of RPG.

Also some drastic new settings, with a real good twist on convention. Some real gritty high fantasy would be nice. Or perhaps harking back to my love for Planescape: Torment - making something really odd but still mature.
