Good old LAN is the best 8 or more guys (depending on what size switch you have) crammed into one area playing making noise, red bulls and junk food.
FPS are the most fun with a few RTS games inbetween to settle everyone down
FPS and RTS thats what i normally love to jam at a lan.

I don't think is ideal.. Some people just settle on 2-3 games at most imo.
