Yeah, same here. Underneath all the technical problems it simply wasn't a very good game. It felt very sterile and soulless, so I ditched it about halfway through.
I've long since learned not to finish a game I dislike simply because I want to squeeze out some value for my money. Better off just cutting my losses short.
