Has any character made an impact on you recently in a game?
I love my best bud Ghandi because we are always super close neighbors. He never coverts my land, destroys my trade routes or nukes my capital city. Nope, he's never done that. Using our telekinetic link, we always share ideologies and he never forcefully instills his religion or culture on my cities. Nope, not even once.

Did you have warm and fuzzy feelings towards this character?
Why of course! If we were locked in a room together I totally wouldn't waterboard him. What a guy.

Did you connect to him/her/it on a level deeper than you could ever imagine?
I did not think it possible to love a virtual character as much as I love him.

Is your significant other worried and/or jealous about the time you spend with this character?
Oh, they are very worried. Not me though. Why would I be? Heh.

Even better. I paint a picture of him on all of my nuclear missiles.

I did, until I accidentally nuked it. I mean there was an explosion, someone err...sabotaged it.

I'll be honest and say that I can't top what has gone before me.
(I'm talking about The_Imp_ZA's post, duh)
But to just let him win without any competition would be WRONG!

So I'll write a something on his brother, The_Imp_Doom.


Actual size. We gamed on screens where we could count the pixels while waiting for the load screen to finish back in the day, Sonny.

Me and the Imp had a love/hate relationship right from the start of level 1. Before I got my hands on the shotguns, that is. After that it was just "blow me... up" each time we saw each other.

I have wondered on occasion what would make a monster so single mindedly evil and destructive. It was only when I drew the lot for help-desk duty three weeks in a row that I realised: Customer support. Or the gates of hell being opened by a wayward science experiment. Potatoe, potato.

What I like about the Imp is his dedication (and reproductive capacity). It just calls out "respect". This guy was never going to win the war for the forces of hell, honestly. But he kept to it. If I were him, I'd just go back to the break room with a cup of coffee after level 3 and say "Union". But he persevered and vered and vered.

So will I invite him over for a night cap? No. Things are bound to get messy, but I admire his dedication to put life and limb on the line for a cause he believed in. Without you, Imp, Doom would have been a much easier game.

I'm going to bring back Nilin


She was a blank slate when we first met, she had no idea who she was and neither did I. She was on a mission to find out who she was and at the same time pulling me into the mystery of it all. I guess thats why enjoyed the game, I was as invested in learning who she was as she was, it kept me invested when I felt like she needed me.

While the game wasn't anything special, the gameplay was repetitive and there are better fighting games out there, there was something about Nilan that still brings me back for multiple playthroughs. Isn't that the mark of a great character, someone who keeps pulling you back despite the fact you know she is going to kick you in the teeth.

At times I wish I could talk to her, find out what keeps her moving forward against the odds. So to answer the questions above I think there is a connection there, whilst i'm sure I won't get to the stalking phase I would love to have lunch with her. Thankfully I don't have a significant other to fear me falling in love with Nilin

my character isnt strictly speaking a gaming character. but i do like playing lego's Marvel Avengers and my favorite character is the Hulk

the Character that has made an impact on my life is The Hulk. Mostly because the Hulk reminds me a lot of my Bf. and i have all these warm and fuzzy feelings about my bf which directly translates to the Hulk. i am obsessed with turning my Bf into the Hulk and have gone so far as to procure a Hulk mask for him and some Hulk Smash hands and this one time i also made him a t-shirt with a slogan which i thought would be witty and funny but because i have to explain it to people it makes it less witty. the only people who do get the shirt are fellow nerders/geekers like me.

My Shaman Himiiko has made an impact in the World Of Warcraft world by slaying the biggest and scariest bosses around with ease .

Yes if she was real we would be best friends forever going to movies and stuff.

Yes, yes I do as she is like an extension of my soul and life.
