I do read reviews, and I do care what the review says, but I honestly can't say that it will influence my choice very much ff I am set on getting a game. If I have been wanting a game for months and a few reviews say it's bad, I'll probably still get it.

Where they really do help is in convincing me to buy a game that I hadn't previously considered. And, in preventing me from getting a crap game just because I don't have any other game to buy.

I usualy play a game 1st before I really start paying attention to reviews and scores just to compare what I think against the review.

I judge games before I buy them from descriptions, screenshots, and the developer, and so far, that hasn't let me down.

I rarely am dissuaded from buying a game just because of bad reviews, unless it's a reviewer I really trust.

Most reviewers these days cannot critique a donkey from their own ass.

I look at most review sites and it is interesting to see most games falling into the same brackets in terms of ratings. Seems games these days are awarded excellence on production values and budget alone. And even when reading the reviews you can often just superimpose one over another with very little true insight. Might as well just read a preview hype article since it comes off the same as many of the reviews out there.

There are too many high scores. I always think about the marking system from UCT. It would be incredibly difficult to get 80% or higher, yet half the games that have come out are easily beating that.

I just look at the pictures anyway.
