Another gaming platform? Yes, because that's exactly what we need in addition to:

    Steam
    Origin
    uPlay
    Impulse
    Capsule
    Desura

I hear you man, but GOG are way up there with steam in my opinion.

I agree, I'm looking forward to this one. Always wished they would create their own platform.

Plus it's optional. Complaining about something that's completely optional, and offers more choice to consumers is just rediculous.

Details are scant, but supposedly it'll have some sort of cross-platform compatibility. It sounds like a system that will let you find others who are playing the same games you have although using a different client. So kinda like how Steam shows you which friends are playing which games so you can join them for some multiplayer.

I used to think "steam or gtfo" (and evil origin when I must) but this post (today) is making me consider GOG as something legit too:

Ah, that does sound interesting. It can get a bit tricky finding other gamers for some of these older titles. Maybe I was a bit harsh in my assessment.

It just feels like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to launch their own mini-Steam. There was another gaming platform announced sometime this week, but I can't remember which company it was. I'll see if I can dig it up again.

I'm quite for the idea, especially if it means it will keep all my gog games update to date.
