Kyalami race circuit to be sold

The liquidated Kyalami race circuit will be auctioned on July 24 and could fetch as much as R200 million, The Times reported on Friday.

Joint managing director of the High Street Auction Co, which will conduct the auction, Lance Chalwin-Milton said motor racing devotees and property developers were showing interest in the 72 hectare property in Midrand.

Still some of the saddest news I have heard, to loose such a big part of our history, the saddest part is that Killarney is not far off from being sold as well. Soon there will be only a few race tracks left.
