    Question Coaxial Digital Output

I'm looking to buy a DVD player, but most ones I see has Coaxial Digital Outputs for their sound.

It appears like a 3.5mm input won't work on these?
Where can I get speakers with Coaxial Digital Inputs?

    Default

Digital coax sounds mighty dodgy to me...

Co-axial is a method used to reduce interference in cable for *analog* usage. So "coaxial digital" is a little dubious.

Best guess is that these are electrical S/PDIF connection.

Personally I'd tell the salesman I want optic S/PDIF and see how he/she responds...optical S/PDIF afaik always covers electrical as well afaik and the optical angle will rattle clueless sales staff too... NB optical might result in increased price so make sure you don't buy something you don't need....still useful for chasing away clueless sales staff.
