    Lightbulb Steam Trading Cards

So Steam has now incorporated trading cards as random drops in certain games, and I was one of the lucky people to score a beta invite

From your Badges page, the "Badges in Progress" tab shows you which Steam Trading Cards you already have, how many more you can get by playing the game, and how many more you need to complete a set. Clicking on a badge in progress will show you a list of all your friends who have the cards you need to complete the set, and has a link to sending them a message to start a trade. For example, Cyl and Tappet both own TF2 and Portal 2. Tappet can see that Cyl has the Portal 2 cards he needs to complete his Portal 2 badge. Tappet starts a trade with Cyl and gives him TF2 cards in exchange for Cyl's Portal 2 cards. Tappet is now able to complete his Portal 2 badge.

    Which games drop trading cards?
The following games are currently part of the Steam Trading Cards Beta.
    • CS:GO
    • Team Fortress 2
    • Dota 2
    • Portal 2
    • Half-Life 2
    • Don't Starve

We'll be adding more as we get them done.
Thought it could be a good idea to create a thread where fellow Steam players can communicate and trade with other players

Anybody else out there get a beta invite already?

Ai Wyv.... You should at least get into TF2, it's a lot of fun

hopefully the list will grow soon. I've got 4 of those games but haven't played 2 of them in a long time, but now I have incentive to get back into it

Portal 2 is pretty fun, especially multiplayer.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.

Unfotunately I've also moved on from all those games Logged a good 100 or so on TF2, and at least as many minutes in DOTA! But I don't think I'd revisit any of them just for the trading cards.

If a new game, say, a third in a series, were to implement it, I'd be there!
