Nice to see a thread about the age of an online community's members being derailed to a discussion on how their SOs allow them to play games. So let me jump in:

We recently finished building our house and we planned it so that the informal lounge is in the center of the house - almost part of the kitchen, with 2 built-in desks flanking a fireplace above which our 48" TV is mounted. So my wife can sit on the couch and enjoy a series or movie on Netflix or make dinner in the kitchen while I game at the desk. We're still in each other's company and we chat in between... It worked out great!

That sounds like a really kewl layout. Would be great to see it

My situation is similar now that I've had to move out of the study so that it can become a nursery for our second kid who's on the way. So far, so good.
