Production of the live action show portion of Quantum Break won't be affected by the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studios, Microsoft has confirmed.

A statement sent to Polygon confirms that both the game and show will be released next year, and the plan to show new footage from both titles at Gamescom remains in place.

We heard earlier this year that in the video game you'll play as "Jack Choice in a desperate fight to stop the fracture, that threatens to cause the end of time. In the show, in the style of a modern TV series you follow the schemes and power play inside Monarch – the corporation that’s Jack’s main enemy."

We also heard yesterday that the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studios won't affect Halo TV or Halo: Nightfall either. We'll be at Gamescom this year so, for the latest news on Quantum Break, be sure to keep your eyes on IGN for up-to-the-minute coverage of events as they unfold.
