I also asked about this game a while back so if anyone has tried it please gives us info.
Like Deceptor said he asked about it last time and i thing the general consencus was that it was an indie developer who thinks themselfs a big well known developer. Considering u have to buy it for like $50 and then pay montly subs also. This coupled with sub par game play was deemed not really worth it. HOWEVER a quick look at IGN gives a differnt view 8.1...

Follow these important steps to play your free trial to Fallen Earth:
1. Download the Client by clicking on the Download Button below.
Download -- Right-click to Save -- (481MB, MSI)
2. Launch "FallenEarth.msi" to install the game.
3. Launch the game and choose "Create an Account" to sign up for your free trial account.
4. Enter your Promotional Key/Buddy Key (twenty digits in length, including dashes) in the Product Key/Buddy Key/Promotional Key field to create your account.
5. When account creation is complete, please finish downloading the game by clicking "Next."

Let us know. if its ok i might even try it out for a month. Although it would have to be pretty awesome as i think ive moved past my mmo stage.awesome. got key will get client and check it out
this sucks. after the "client" you still need to download 4.4 odd gigs. wtf. sigh no fallen earth then till i get a supplier...

I am playing the trial at the moment, its nice BUT, theres just not enough polish yet.
I made a decision this month to play either Fallen Earth or EVE. EVE won.
Things that I like about Fallen Earth
Short area loading times (if any)
Can gain XP via crafting
Dance Emotes
Mount at lvl 1
Things I dont like
Small crafting queue (only 20 slots)
"Fake" economy (NPCs sell everying with regards to tradeskills, from components to the finished items themselves. Not cool if you want to trade with REAL players)
Needs polish
