Wanted to go Nvidia with my new rig, but Joker convinced me to put an R9 280X in instead. I'm REALLY glad I did - the card is excellent and I can still run Borderlands 2 PhysX on high.

I will go with Nvidia the next time I upgrade ATI have really gone down the toilet. The performance in Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs has really soured me towards ATI,they produce good hardware but there driver support is bad.

Watch Dogs = GameWorks. You're blaming AMD for Nvidia's business practises, precisely the reason I doubt I'll ever use Nvidia again.

Wolfenstein = IDTech. Beta driver was available not long after and performance issues and bugs affected Nvidia as well.

How exactly have AMD gone down the toilet?

You realize the game ran like shit on Nvidia machines as well until the last patch.
Wolfenstein ran flawless on my mates 290 after the drivers were updated so I think you messed up somewhere or you played with settings that your card couldn't handle.

Ok you got me there maybe bringing up watchdogs was not the best move but as an Life long ATI Gpu user I think I am ready to check out the competition and see what they have to offer.I did not want to start a Nvidia,Ati battle. The thing that gets me is both xbone and Ps4 are based on Ati GCN architecture and yet the releases on pc run like ass on Ati cards.

I'm the opposite. This is the first time I've really given the red team a chance and I've been pleasantly surprised! I might just shove another red card in my rig if this one (Gigabyte R9 280X) isn't cutting it anymore, but I doubt that will be TOO soon...
