    Will wait for proper benchmark results.

    Got burnt back in the day for falling for the latest and greatest only to find the previous generation outperforming the new.

    Is 2400MHz the lowest frequency for this type of RAM on only? Or is this performance RAM?

    DDR4 spec starts out at 2133MHz but there are kits planned for servers that sit in the 1600MHz range with ECC and super-low voltages. It's a very attractive start for Intel and the server market. Previous DDR launches didn't have this much planning into them.

    Yeah its wild...2 year old tech is now 2x as expensive. (Taking my RAM as an example).

    I mean wtf...thats not how its supposed to work. Old tech is supposed to become cheaper...

    Not when it's demand rises as people become reluctant to upgrade.

    Older modules are still more expensive -- comparatively.
