    He mentions that the consumer is partially to blame, well I disagree. The consumer is almost wholly to blame. The kind of behaviour that the gaming audience exhibits just paves the way for things like preorder culture. People just roll over and take it. And the fat cats behind it smile all the way to the bank.

    Biscuit makes some interesting points.

    Media naval-gazing (unless it's done like Jon Stewart or John Oliver) is not really something that interests me, but there does seem to be a lot of questions raised all over the world about journalistic integrity.

    At least some of it is just misperception of how reporters, journalists, critics, and other media-types go about their work. Though of course some of the questions and criticisms are entirely justified.

    That said, people are very quick to accuse a journalist of accepting a bribe if they have a different opinion to their own, and I've always wondered where that tendency comes from.
