The single player was far from original. All the US missions were basically cookie cutter stuff from cod4. The sense of de ja vu from those missions was staggering. Only the SAS missions felt mildly original in any way and were the best part of the campaign. But that only constituted around 2 hours of the 4 hour long campaign. I was not impressed. IW are now proving to be a one trick pony.

I agree there was quite a bit of deja Vu, but I still found it really enjoyable, (note: i had just finished cod4 for the second time before playing it) and as I said for a few days, ever game felt dull after it

I think the phrase "going through the motions" adequately describes it

Definately as sense of de ja vu. Started losing interest at the end of act 1. Starting seeming rather repetitive. IW did not do what they should have, indeed a tricky pony

Problem is that they did not seem to have changed it in the slightese. They might as well have called it a map pack or something because it sure felt like it. Nothing new. I also played COD4 twice, couldn't face doing that with MW2

the biggest dissapointments for 2009 for me were (not games that were released in 2009)

starcraft 2 - lack of lan
diablo 3 - lack of lan
    duke forever - cancelled
false broadband predictions ("reductions of up to 90%")
