Microsoft wants to buy out Minecraft

If I was Notch I would totally jump at the opportunity, but I can't imagine why MS would want to buy a company that's essentially a one hit wonder.

Intellectual Property rights? maybe they want to mine all the minecraft paraphernalia for what its worth?
Somehow I can't see Notch doing this, seems like a smart guy.. although if microsoft is just the production company it might not be that bad , look at dust an elysian tail, it was published by Microsoft Studios

Finally, now MyGaming can post an article about it. Not that rumour rubbish last week.

Lets hope they Keep the current Dev team working on this , or maybe it will be good to get new input i'm going to be watching minecraft closely over the next few months ,maybe this will be a good thing.

on a side note: Notches response really blew me away, I feel for the guy, the internet such an amazing and terrible place.
