    Yeah. One thing I don't get Steam is that once you reinstall your OS. Your old code becomes useless. So you are essentially buying another copy. Downloading each game takes ages too.

    Erm no you dont need new keys and no you dont need to redownload everything either.

    1.) I have yet to get a game that say I need a new code
    2.) If you keep your entire Steam folder when you reload all you need to do is run Steam.exe to have all your games back again. Hell it even gets better, if you move your entire Steam folder to a removable you can just plug said removable into any PC and run the Steam.exe to have access to all your games on that PC. Also if you have a friend that owns the same game you can just copy the files from them.

    Cool. Never knew that. They probably changed their policies or something. But isn't that backing up method asks for a code as well? Or does it somehow knows your account? [emoji3]

    It DOES know your account, because you are logged into Steam. All the games you claim are associated with your account... Just log into Steam from another PC and you'll see.
