Destiny is the biggest launch title ever

Yeah the marketing effort in the states is huge. Billboards, TV adverts. Everyone and their dog knew that this have to have game called Destiny is coming out.

All that advertising really does work

Even Spotify had ads about Destiny after every 5 or so songs...

I seriously hope so. You can never tell until its released or at least some open beta testing has occurred .

Still pretty disappointed there is no PC version of Destiny.

Personally I prefer them concentrating on one version at a time, I feel if they did pc and console at the same time then not as much work would be done to the game itself.. but I agree.. I still sucks not having a PC version

I am convinced most of the sales are from the US, where Halo was larger than sex. With a legacy like Halo behind your name, the Murricans will eat anything you give them, thrice over.

The game looked interesting enough at one point, kinda Borderlands-ish, but with more players. I guess I'll give it a spin one day, but for now I've got more than enough games that need completing.

This is why the game sold well.
Halo has an insanely large following all over the world, and Bungie (Creator of Halo) is behind Destiny.
I knew from the get go the game would do well purely on that basis, from what I've played its pretty good but nothing groundbreaking, it plays and feels a lot like borderlands.
