Felt the same, finished the first island 100%, got all the collectibles etc. When I reached my wallet's limit and I had bought and upgraded everything, it started feeling useless hunting down all the chests.

When I finally nabbed all the runes, I found out that I had missed one! And that it was in the cave where your friends were hiding out, and which had since collapsed! So that felt like a huge waste of time in the end.

Don't get me wrong though, brilliant game, enjoyed it immensely. Probably won't replay it as FC4 is coming out in a couple weeks.
