I see you mention that BT Games is having a midnight launch. I have pre-ordered the console from them, but I can't find any detail confirming the midnight launch. At least the store is like less than 1km from me, so I'll just go over there at midnight and see if they are doing the launch.

One of my biggest concerns is Microsoft and their Azure servers. From what I recall they don't have any nodes in South Africa. Also, I only know one game that utilizes them, and that's TitanFall. Now granted TitanFall is not coming to SA, but what other titles might use these services?

I'm surprised there aren't any local reviews of the Xbone. Would have liked to know how it performs on our interwebs and bandwidth.

I look forward to seeing what South Africans say after using the XBox Ones. Microsoft has a bad track record when it comes to XBox Live in South Africa and this is coming from a Microsoft fan.

Yes I will definitely keep you all informed on my experiences with the console.

So far what I'm getting is the Xbox One base package with Forza 5 and Fifa 15, plus I'm adding one additional controller and I'm getting Destiny. I've also pre-ordered Forza Horizon 2 which will launch at the end of September.
