Running perfectly on my HD7850 2G, all settings on High, tesselation on at 1080p resolution and never dips below 50fps. Makes me wonder why I want to get a 970 end of the year... :/

    Because MOAR FRAMES.

BTW - very fitting username for this game.

Haha, I didn't even notice that till you mentioned it.

So I'm about 17 hours into the game according to Steam and I've just hit 60% completed.

So far, I'm loving every bit of this game. One of my favourite features is when you go to execute a downed enemy and it can be interrupted by other orcs.

I'm about 12 hours in. I do have a few minor annoyances. For example I've really grown to despise the quicktime events, I'm using an Xbox controller for Windows, but I'm so used to the Playstation buttons that I often hit the wrong input. The knock-on effect of this (dying to the Orcs making them stronger) was I had one Orc Warchief that was almost impossible to beat and required me to pull off some silly tricks to take him down.

Other than that I think it's a fantastic game, great combat, looks very very nice and plays well. The story also gives some interesting insight into aspects of The Lord of the Rings that the books and movies don't go into.

Ah I'm playing with m+kb so the quicktime events aren't a bother.

And I have one general but just always seems to be in the right place at the right time for him. I think he's power level 23 now because he attacks when I'm swamped with 3 other generals.

Yeah quicktime events suck with a controller. I have never been able to pull one off the second time you are about to die in a fight when the circle is smaller. On PC (with a kb & mouse) it's a non-issue, the higher framrate also seems to help for that.

Man this game is awesome! Just got the brand ability and used it to command my (warchief) nemesis' bodyguards to kill him while I just stood and watched. Afterwards I just walked up to the remains to grab my epic rune, didn't lift a finger during the fight.

So I just found a ghost. I killed a general and about an hour latter he rocks up again looking very pale and dead compared to our first fight. I was not in the mood so i shot him in the leg to pin him to the ground, wraith stun and then epic combo. Still it took awhile since I needed a quick time to counter one of his attacks before I could kill him. Then out of nowhere 4 caragors appear, so that ends our fight early as we are fighting together so we can kill each other.

So it was a fun fight.
