BOUGHT!

That AVP special is pretty good.

Yeah, it is. I priced AvP in Musica the other day (I'm a sucker for Clicks club points ) and it was R399. This special saves me just over R150, and a friend of mine saved me the huge download needed to go with it. Just outta curiosity, am I missing anything by not getting the retail version? Afterall being a Steamworks game it would still need Steam, but was there anything extra in the DVD case that I'm missing out on by not going retail?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm one of the fortunate people who owns a 5870 and I cranked the DX11 version to max and I fired up the Marine campaign. When the intro started I was OK cool, there's pre-rendered cut scenes, then I realised it was in-game graphics and I was like !!! Haha.
