When an anti-piracy method is affecting the game for people who legitimately bought it and causing other people not to buy the game, there is obviously something wrong with it!
Agreed, their pricing model is rediculous. You might be better off getting from their website and just requesting a Steam key at a later stage.
And yes, this! Though I still love the game.
It is gorgeous, especially when you start delving into the over 1080p resolutions. Think I might be running an equivalent of 2k and down sampling?
Uh, I wouldn't try that. Not with this company, and not after they've explicitly asked people to buy from their store instead of Steam because they lose 30% to Steam. The chances of them giving away steam keys later on (again) is basically zero.
I'll try it again sometime now that the micro-stutter issues have finally been resolved (allegedly, supposedly, maybe, possibly). Now if only they could fix the chat issue so that you can actually reliably chat with wing mates through the in-game text chat.

You don't have to no (the expansion isn't available yet, but will offer planetary landings of some sort). I won't be buying the expansion, but I will be returning to the game at some point to get my moneys worth.
Galaxy on fire 2 was an amazing game. I finished it on my iPad and then because it was free went and bought the two expansions, and subsequently finished them as well. Great game, great company. Will support them again any day.
