So after a week of grinding for a Clipper, the harsh truth is the Clipper is really not a nice ship at all.
Back to my Python on Monday, I guess.
Yeah, on paper everything looks great. It's fast and it's big, so it's great for pulling traders out of supercruise and anything slower than a Cobra MKIII will struggle to outrun you, but the weapons placements are just so weird. You're pretty much forced to use gimballed weapons on it. I was also shocked how fragile it felt in a fight.
I was hoping it would be a nice PVP ship, but it seems more suited to a support role. A great ship for pulling people out of supercruise and making it hard for them to get away while the rest of your wing drops in to take them down.
I'll be honest, I don't even know what it is. I'll probably give it a go this week. Maybe. Depending on how good Dragon's Dogma is.
