To me it's a great little addition to the series and as snoop says ignore the collectibles (except the crafting pages), ignore desmonds stupid ending and skip the DLC (those extra chapters were useless, complete waste of time and money) and you have a nice game.

    Also if possible get the black flag DLC, Adewale had a pretty cool story with the slaves and so on.
    I actually really enjoyed the DLC for ACIII. I thought it was a cool twist on history and the animal powers changed up the standard AC formula a bit.

    My issue with AC 3 was Connor. I as a player shouldn't be looking forward to cutscenes involving the deutaroganist (Desmond) more than I look forward to the protagonaist. Also having a tutorial that essentially spans 6 hours of gameplay isn't fun.

    It was an interesting twist but I just got bored with it. I would have preferred something that fleshed out the Assassins in America, I mean we spent all that time recruiting those 6 random and then nothing happens.

    @snare
    I agree there, the intro was long in comparison to the rest of the story, I think haytham's story could have been shorter and less time with Connor as a child. It's a nice backstory but I think 2 cutscenes could have explained why we are meant to hate Lee.

    I think the biggest thing wrong with AC3 is that most of us ended up hating Conner and not caring how his story ended. I'm quite a fan of the AC games but this one came close to being the exception. For a protagonist Conner didn't have much for me as a player to identify with.
