GeForce GTX cards – SA price, performance comparison

Basically ordered the ASUS Strix GTX 970 from Amazon, with expedited shipping, and got it delivered to my door for R5000. Why pay more for something locally when you can it from overseas shipped to your door for less? Local retailers need to be competitive. And had I chosen the cheaper shipping option it would have cost me R4500. Cmon guys.

Let me know how it goes when it needs to be rma'd.

So you save yourself R1000 but you have no local warranty (Asus SA will not honor it)
You will sit without a gpu for weeks when it goes wrong.
You'll have to pay shipping again to send it back when it goes wrong.
When sending it back, the package gets damaged and the card gets a scratch or a dent on it, Amazon will void the warranty and you'll have no card.

That's why you pay a R1000 more.
