    Yup, but it was slightly before my time. Our first modem was 300 baud.

    My first modem was a USR 14.4k and was a bitch to deal with. Was so glad when I could upgrade to a 33.6k and eventually a 56k v.92 capable modem

    i only had a 33.6 modem and a 56k one, to stop the modem from making the dailup sound what i did was put a headaphone jack into the port on the modem



    my friend couldnt do that cause his modem didnt have the audio out and mic jacks
