Amusingly, they're actually having huge issues with the pre-load; it keeps resetting its progress (if you encounter the same problem, just pause the download, and it will inexplicably recover some of the "lost" data, but unfortunately not all). It took me about 14 hours to download something that should have taken about 6 hours, and I had to keep coming back to pause/unpause it to boot.
According to some research I did on Google, a lot of people are having this issue, and EA is ignoring them and/or pretending the problem doesn't exist, or giving them "solutions" that don't actually do anything to fix the issue (along the lines of "reset your router" and such). Promises of "we will look into it" abound.
