I always wondered, did they mean Just as in justified or "meh, I can do whatever I want"...

If they meant just because, the Cause would be 'Cause, unless they're really bad at punctuation. So I think they definitely mean justified.
I'm sure it's ambivalence (intended ambiguity) since both meanings apply to the game.
