I see more and more people are installing solar panels on their roof, it's an expensive setup but well worth it in the longterm going off-grid. But, you are probably screwed when there's a week of cloudy/rainy weather and no sun? I suppose the grid can be used as backup then

Had it last night, and see we are already on schedule 1, so most likely have it at 12 to 4 again today. Fun times trying to squeeze a days work into 4 hours

The worst is the traffic. Power goes out and it takes a crazy amount of time to get to work or back.

Especially when the shedding starts so early in the morning, it's chaos! I can just imagine how it is from 17:00 onwards as well.

my power died last night at 18h00 without warning but apparently it was an "unscheduled outage". don't know how it could be perfectly at 18h00 without being scheduled though.. at least it was only out for a hour.

I had loadshedding scheduled for 20:00-22:30. And the power never went out! I guess the got mixed up with the switches!
