Both my PS4 and PSTV are plugged into the same 100MBit switch. I was considering getting a gigabit switch, but that won't make a difference in this application, because the PSTV (not sure about the PS4) is only 100MBit.

On this setup, with the PSTV hooked up to a 24" gaming screen, I found that the 1080i you can set the display to seems to be upscaled, but using 720p yields very similar results. I'm sure they downscale to 720p at the PS4 for transport to the PSTV, and then upscale again to 1080i if you have the option selected. Either way, text can look quite aliased.

The input lag was there, but hardly noticeable in Dust.

I tried out Persona 4 for a few minutes. You can really see the low native resolution of the vita on a 24" screen. I'm not sure I want to try it on anything bigger... That being said, it still looks good knowing what it is.
Yeah, don't think there won't be zero input lag, but for most games it should work fine. I'm using mine on a 29" in the room, and the PS Vita and PSone games do look a bit stretched. When I link to the PS4 it looks a lot better, but the 29" is only HD ready, where the main TV is full HD.
