Ubisoft, aren’t you still working on getting Assassin’s Creed Unity to run properly?

Yeah keep shoving them out, people won't get tired of the same game every 12 months. :/

    *sniff**sniff*

I smell a Call of Duty approach to new games coming from Ubisoft.

CoD devs can pull it off (evidence is there), Ubisoft... not so much.

I like the setting and it looks great but can we please fix unity before we get the next title. At least wait till E3 to announce it, I mean unity hasn't even been out a month. At least CoD gives you some breathing room but this is pathetic.

Difference is all of Activisions games don't all share the same game design concepts, there's no Acti-game reference they use for all their titles, their games at least don't feel like they are produced in an assembly line...

I think Ubisoft wants to be the next EA; develop and release lots of titles within a year, not focusing on the quality of the product, but rather the quantity - of which they can sell in a shorter period of time.

That was fast. Loved Black Flag, was the only AC I played before Unity, which became a bit of a chore to finish once I got over how beautiful it was and this looks like it'll be similar so think I'll skip it unless there's some serious gamechanger.

They didn't exactly plan to announce it now, it got leaked and then they decided to just reveal it.

Also, it's a completely different studio (Ubisoft Quebec) that is at the helm and not the guys from Unity (Ubisoft Montreal).

I am excited about this one. Can't wait to explore Victorian Era London. Despite all the negative stuff surrounding Unity I am loving exploring Paris and haven't had any issues with the game.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The moment I play an AC game and don't find it fun anymore I will stop buying them. Untill then I will get every title in the franchise. I don't care that they are "milking" it. Ubisoft is a massive company with lots of studios around the world. It's not like a single studio is developing each game in a year's time. I'm pretty sure each game in the franchise has a development cycle of at least 2 - 4 years.

No other game franchise does exploring (realistic) historical settings as well as AC IMO and as long as they keep recreating these historical settings so well I'm sure I will keep enjoying exploring them.

I can run around for hours jumping from building to building or sailing the open waters just exploring these settings and that's what I love about the franchise. The story and actual gameplay (assassinations, combat, etc.), while still good, are secondary for me.

And again, I don't see how all the games are the same. They might have similar basic design ideas but so does almost every FPS game on the market... There are enough differences in each AC title to justify buying each one IMO. Like I said, the moment I don't enjoy it anymore I will stop buying/playing them.

I'm in the same boat and I agree with everything you say, but i'm still kinda pissed at the speed of it all.

Cool, I agree that the announcement is too early, but it got leaked. They didn't exactly have much choice after that. Think they were only planning to reveal it next year sometime.
