To be fair, a patch was recently released that changed the game quite dramatically, particularly with regards to the "laning phase", so you may want to look into that if you haven't already.

An average stun in DotA last about 1.5 seconds. The longer stuns last about 4 seconds and are quite rare. I think there's a single stun in the game that lasts 6 seconds (and is incredibly difficult to set up/land). That said, there are ways to avoid stun effects, remove stun effects entirely, and even make yourself immune to them. That's part of playing the game, knowing how to counter stuff like that.

I really don't understand why or how you feel it's "broken".

As I said, it is widely regarded as the most balanced MOBA out there.

Must say going from hon to dota2, dota2 feels so premitive.
So just went back to hon and enjoying it way more.

I suppose the first move you play will always be your favourite. I will not leave lol. My friend though left dota 2 for lol because of the size of DotA 2 files which I think is ridiculous but understandable due to graphics. Hon takes the cake for best graphics from what I've heard though.

I'm loving DotA 2, yet I suck at it quite badly, even after 100 or so games in. Keen to try HotS - Where can I get alpha access?

Also, with all these attempts at new MOBA universes, like Dead Island etc. I would love a Naruto Universe MOBA

They are all good, for me its the after support and community control mechanisms.

LOL was good I played alot of it, then it all went downhill, 2 accounts with real money spent couldnt be merged or migrated. So I lost real money that I'll never see again, so thats the only reason I hate LOL.

HON, wasn't too bad really fast past, however community is pretty small so I was noob and they made sure I felt that way whenever I connected to a lobby then got kicked cause of low skill.

Dota 2, its great, they have things just right in mind of free-to-play , however it comes back to the same thing, some bugs like the 21:9 or 4k resolution support bothered me to hell and also the match making system got to me.

They are all great titles to be honest, I cannot bash them for the people that play it, only the actions that the companies decision making. E.g. HON (Player lobby system for games, no bot games(Fixed now)), LOL (can run on a toaster, however the pay to play characters peeved me and the account system), Dota 2 (The match making region issue and the screen res bugs )

Dota 2 and HON are a little higher up there as you can play with local pings.

Tried LoL coming from Hon I went 68-0 in my first match and I knew this game was not for me.
Hon has way better animation so its easier to counter or blink out of the way.
I remember playing a game of dota and in a blink of an eye there was a hero there and all kinds of stuff juts happens instanly without you being able to respond.

Played dawngate and it had potinsial but its no more.
Also strife is just sad they tried making it more casual but in doing so games go on forever. Also its the same strat in all the games wait till your carry and tank is farmed and then back door.

I have played all of these in the past, but HON only briefly so I can't give too much input there. I found LoL to be the most fun, particularly with friends when just playing normals, and probably the easiest to get into (however, all the games here have the age old 'tough to master' approach to them). League has the problem that the match-making system is utterly dreadful and the community is probably the most toxic thing ever to crawl out of the internet cesspool. It also lacks a South African server. The ping is actually fairly alright most of the time, but you could never really hope to play at your best with the slightly lagged response time. I play League quite often and really enjoy it about 80% of the time when these issues do not arise. LoL is also a lot more forgiving. Your team can easily make a ridiculous comeback regardless of how well the other team is doing, depending on team composition and whether or not the losing team can actually outplay the opposition long enough to turn the tides (but often, it just takes one cock-up from the opposing team to turn it around). In DotA, the team with the advantage typically always wins (as in, wipes the floor with your poor under-farmed and under-leveled face).

DotA 2 is a much better experience in general. The game is far more stable than LoL's client (as in actual stability, performance, and useability), and it has a proper AFK detection and punishment system with the option to pause should someone disconnect from the game unexpectedly (which is common with South African internet, and the community here in SA is nice enough to wait for fair amounts of time). It is a lot more difficult to get good at, though. The learning curve is very steep, and it is quite important to know how each hero plays in order to counter them effectively. It will take a lot more time to get used to all of the mechanics, but fortunately plenty of new players are dropping in lately for relative newbies to get acquainted with the game. DotA 2 is just better designed in almost all aspects, but that doesn't necessarily mean LoL is a bad game. I probably play more LoL than DotA 2, which is where the opinion of DotA's design advantage stems from.

So, all-in-all, DotA 2 gets my vote for its general superiority. I still get my arse handed to me regularly by far better players, though.
