Confirmation (of sorts) in the informal community Twitch broadcast on Friday regarding the new pricing for Star Citizen and Squadron 42:
No clarity yet as to if the $15 add-on purchase must be made at the time you purchase your main game, or if you'll be able to purchase it separately later on. (Personally I think they'd be dumb not to do it that way.)Feb 14th, Star Citizen and Squadron 42 will no longer be sold together at the price of $45 [the present best price for a package containing both games in digital format].
Existing packages purchased before the split will not affected.
After the split, if you want to buy either of the two, they will cost $45 each. However if you decide to buy both, the other one will be classified as an "add-on purchase" at $15, bringing the total for both games to $60.
e.g: Buy Star Citizen for $45 and-on Squadron 42 for $15, and vice versa.
Pricing for the individual games and for the add-on option will increase again as they near launch.
Oh, and as I suspected the one week Free Fly period has been extended for a second week, and will now run to the 14th, so if you've been playing around with the game under Free Fly, you've got a little more time.
